East and West Coast Ski Areas for your Consideration

There are dozens and dozens of ski areas in the United States from the east coast to the west coast. Each varies in size and offers a different feel or experience. So, in your travels around the nation, what works best for you? Well, here are a couple of ski areas from each coast that can help you get started:

West Coast

1. Heavenly Mountain Resort in California

  • The biggest ski area in Lake Tahoe with over 4,800 acres

East Coast

3. Holiday Valley in New York

  • Located in the cozy village of Ellicottville, this ski destination provides a quaint and warm feeling you may not experience at larger resorts
  • Limited vertical at only 750 feet, but more than makes up for it with its reputation for a friendly staff, lift service, beautiful lodges, and amenities.

4. Stowe Mountain Resort in Vermont

  • One of those most popular, largest and oldest ski areas in New England. Located in Vermont, it is a staple and trademark of the state’s recent history
  • This massive resort offers a huge variety of trails. From double-black diamond, cross country, to beginner terrain at Spruce Peak
  • When not skiing, take in the lobby for wine and cheese, or outdoor hot tubs and spa treatment for relaxation. Or enjoy a concert next door
