Mt. Hood Skibowl

Known as “steep and cheap” by locals, Mt. Hood Skibowl is best suited for intermediate and advanced skiers because of its mostly black runs. The ski area is one of the more affordable resorts on Mt. Hood. There is also a good deal of night skiing for those who love to take turns under the lights. Because of the positioning of Skibowl, it can get cold. Thankfully, there is a warming hut in the middle of the resort, a perfect pitstop for brews and goulash!

  • Average Annual Base: 5-10 feet
  • Season length: Early December – Early April, weather depending

  • Summit: 5,066 feet at Tom, Dick, and Harry Mountain
  • Base: 3,600 feet
  • Vertical drop: Approximately 1,500 feet

  • Skiable Area: 960 acres (including 300 acres of Outback area).
  • Total Runs: 65
  • Beginner runs: 20%
  • Intermediate runs: 40%
  • Expert runs: 40%
  • Longest run: 3 miles (Skyline trail)

Skibowl is located at Government Camp, about 20 minutes west of Mt. Hood Meadows, off Highway 26.
