Whaleback Mountain

Whaleback Mountain was created in 2005 by two-time Olympic mogul skier, Evan Dybvig, Myles Cotter-Sparrow, Frank Sparrow, Dylan Goodspeed of Zero Gravity Skate Park, and Richard Dybvig, Architect. Although relatively new to the scene, the mountain has an extensive ski history. Visitors to Whaleback can expect beautiful sights at of one of the most innovative and chill ski resorts in New Hampshire.

Quality Ski Resort

It’s time to stop looking for the biggest ski resort and start looking for the best. Quantity vs. quality has never been true than when talking this resort near Lebanon, NH. Re-opened in 2005 by two-time Olympic skier Evan Dybvig, this innovative, young resort focuses on providing the absolute best skiing on a relatively small plot of land.

The mountain has 85 acres of land and 30 trails, the relatively small amount of land helps to keep the mountain under the radar. The resort is a hidden gem in the Northeast and the lack of crowds is a blessing for families, as well as both beginners and expert skiers and boarders that crave a mountain to themselves.

Off the Slopes

The closest lodging can be found in nearby White Water Junction, a short five-mile drive from the mountain. However, the numerous towns in the region provide a range of accommodation from budget motels to upscale lodges and serene bed and breakfasts. Also, the mountain does offer food slope side at the Whaleback Pub, which also provides plenty of entertainment and drinks after a long day of skiing or riding.  If you are thinking about a new spot to call home or a new ski resort to call your favorite, consider Whaleback Mountain. Getting Here

Located near the towns of Lebanon and Enfield, the area is incredibly easy to access. The mountain is located off Whaleback Mountain Road, which is just off of I-89. Exit 16 will put you right at the mountain. The Lebanon Municipal Airport is approximately 10 miles away and Boston’s Logan Airport is the largest airport at only two hours from the ski area.
