This is a great family-friendly and affordable ski area. It’s set amidst peaceful surroundings and picturesque landscapes. Its welcoming and knowledgeable staff, great facilities, and fun-filled mountain activities make a great escape for the day or a long weekend. 

Mount Southington focuses a lot of its resources on its great racing team and school. It is widely regarded as one of the finest racing programs in the East. The Mount Southington Ski Team is a youth racing academy that gives young skiers a fantastic opportunity. The Program is specifically designed to be safe and fun while helping children build strength, confidence and develop a great new skill. The school is run by a team of consummate professionals with years of experience. It’s a great chance to introduce children of all ages to the exciting and exhilarating world of downhill skiing.

Off the Slopes

The large base lodge features quick cafeteria-style dining, as well as the Mountain Room Restaurant and Lounge for those seeking a more refined dining experience. As far as lodging is concerned there is no slope-side lodging available. However, Hartford is only 20 minutes from the ski slope and has plenty of wonderful lodging and dining options. From casual to fine dining, there are a multitude of great international restaurants, American-style diners, and upscale spots.

There is also a great selection of lodging available in the town of Southington. Southington is rather small, but has a nice array of affordable hotels and inns that promote great ski and stay package deals throughout the winter. Hartford is a great option for those seeking more of a big-town feel and run the gamut on accommodations from budget motels and chain hotels to historic inns and romantic bed and breakfasts.

Getting Here

Getting here is simple. By car, the resort is located directly off of Exit 30 on 1-84. The physical address is 396 MT Vernon Road, Plantsville, Connecticut. New York City and its three airports are about two hours away from the ski area.
