Loon Mountain

Located in the White Mountain National Forest of central Hew Hampshire, Loon Mountain has quickly become a popular ski resort in New England, and it was even voted #1 for most accessible ski resort by the readers of SKI Magazine.

Three Mountains—One Ski Resort

Loon Mountain is very close to the towns of Lincoln and Woodstock, areas that provide an authentic New England atmosphere and a perfect après ski destination. Loon Mountain offers skiers and snowboarders majestic peaks, quaint New England villages, a plethora of indoor and outdoor activities and the convenience of being located near major metropolitan areas. It’s beautiful, ideally-located, and offers an array of activities that are guaranteed to keep everyone entertained.

The mountain has a 2,100-foot vertical drop and has over 350 acres of skiable land and 26 miles worth of trails provide a wealth of terrain to explore. In fact, Loon Mountain is something of a misnomer, since the resort is spread out over three mountains. Most of the runs fall into the intermediate and beginner levels, but they still have plenty of runs for advanced and expert skiers and snowboarders, like the double black diamond run, Rip Saw. In addition to great skiing the resort offers tubing, ice skating, an indoor rock wall, and nine terrain parks catering to all ability levels. Additional services include, childcare, equipment rental, full-service ski and snowboard retail shops, as well as ski and snowboarding lessons for all ability levels.

Off the Slopes

The towns of Lincoln and Woodstock provide plenty of leisure activities like shopping, theatres, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. There are also many great dining options both on and off the mountain, including five places to get breakfast or lunch and three additional joints for the après ski scene. Loon Mountain has its own accommodation, The Mountain Club on Loon, but the nearby town of Lincoln, located between several ski areas, provides plentiful lodging options, ranging from luxury hotels and cozy self-contained cottages to family-friendly resorts and romantic inns. Loon Mountain offers a complimentary shuttle service from many of the area’s lodging making it excessively easy to hit the slopes.

Getting Here

Located just minutes off of exit 32 on I-93. The closest major airport is Logan Airport in Boston, which is a two hour drive from the resort. The Manchester airport is a smaller airport and only 80 miles from the resort.
