This is a small and intimate New Hampshire ski resort that offers big smiles. For more than 40 years, the resort has been renowned as a family-friendly winter destination. More than 80 percent of the terrain is designed for novice and intermediate skiers and snowboarders making it the ideal place to learn to ski and snowboard or hone shaky skills and gain confidence. However, more advanced riders will also find a great set of runs catered specifically for them. There is also night riding offered for insatiable skiers and boarders that simply cannot get enough during daylight hours. And for the more daring skier and boarder, there is an extensive terrain park with hits, rails, and a professionally groomed halfpipe.

Off the Slopes

The resort has extra conveniences and added comfort for their guest’s stay in the area. The Cub Club Nursery provides certified daycare for young children and infants. There is also an impressive array of ski and snowboard lessons for all ages and experience levels, ranging from private full and half day lessons, group lessons, and a ski and snowboard club for the younger guests. Additionally, there is a full-service rental and repair shop located in the base lodge, offering the very best equipment and brands for the lowest prices in the area.

There are several options for slope-side eateries ranging from a quick, healthy, and affordable snack bar to the reputable Traditions Restaurant, serving delicious New England-style cuisine in a laidback and warm environment. The area has no shortage of lodging options, from cozy b&b’s and slope side rooms to spacious condos and townhomes ideal for large families and groups. King Pine also promotes a series of impressive deals on ski and stay packages throughout the season. As far as nightlife, The Trails End Tavern is a homey, family-friendly pub that provides a great après ski environment without ever having to leave the slopes.

Getting Here

By plane, the closest major airport is in Boston, two and a half hours away. Manchester, NH also has an airpor, just two hours away from King Pine. By car, take I-95 to Portsmouth. Then take the White Mountain exit to Spaulding Turnpike (becomes Route 16). Take Route 16 North to Center Ossipee, then take Route 25 east (for about five miles) to Route 153 north (about six miles) where guests will find both resorts.
