From City to Ski Hill in No Time

Sitting in the Poconos mountain range just north of Pocono State Park, Camelback is a popular ski area, welcoming more than 1 million guests per year. The diverse terrain spread equally among beginner and expert is a big draw for families, and its among the few resorts that can has 100% snow making capacity for a full season of excellent surface conditions.

Off the Slopes

There’s a lot to see and do on the mountain including an indoor year-round water park, a mountain coaster, a massive tubing hill and night skiing and riding. The atmosphere at Camelback can be both serene in some parts and lively in others, and there is plenty of dining, drinking and live music on and around the mountain to get into. Cities such as New York, Washington D.C. and Baltimore are just a couple of hours away by car and offers access to all of the action that metro areas offer.

Getting Here

Camelback is within 1-4.5 hour drive from most cities in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C. and Maryland.  I-80 offers the best route from the East or West; I-81 from the North, and I-476, I-81 or Route 33 from the South. The closest airport is the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport in Avoca, PA. Lehigh Valley International (ABE) is a bit farther away but offers a wider range of destinations. The major hubs are at Newark, Laguardia, and Philadelphia a couple of hours away by car.  Bus and private ground transportation services are available to the Poconos area.
