Mt. Norquay – A local favorite

While there are a variety of runs that range from beginner to expert, Mt. Norquay is known to be accessible to beginner skiers and those seeking to hone their skills. With excellent terrain and access to more challenging runs, Norquay provides lots of options and is sure to be a hit with everyone in a diverse group of ability levels.  And with snowmaking covering 85% of their terrain and a fully-lit terrain park, it’s the only place in the Banff area with night skiing. It is also known as the home training ground for famous Olympic and World Cup athletes.

Off the Slopes

Banff offers superb dining, shopping, après and a variety of cultural activities both on the mountains and in town. And mind you, Banff is one of Canada’s more popular resort town areas with plenty of lodging options from inns, private property rentals, hotels, and motels. There are literally hundreds of shops, restaurants, galleries and such to patronize.  For some, a trip to Alberta is not complete unless it includes a side trip to the West Edmonton Mall—the world’s largest shopping and entertainment complex with a wave pool, triple-loop roller coaster, shark tank, ice rink, trained dolphins, and an indoor beach.
